Annual Report: FY 22-23

Cause Collective's mission is to strengthen nonprofits to better serve the community through collaboration, education, and advocacy. Click on the below headings to see an overview of our achievements in the 2022-23 fiscal year, broken down by the three areas of our mission statement

Cause Collective Radio
Cause Collective worked with KZUM 89.3 FM to air 52 episodes of Cause Collective radio in FY22-23, nearly all were new shows aired for the first time.

Member outreach events
Cause Collective helped organize a total of 4 member outreach events in FY 22-23, providing opportunities for 62 (5% increase) agencies (duplicated) to advertise their services to the community.

Networking events
Cause Collective organized 2 networking events in FY 22-23, with over 53 (50% increase) attendees.

Member meetings
Cause Collective hosted 10 monthly member meetings in FY 22-23, with over 507 attendees.

Newsletters
Cause Collective sent a total of 36 newsletters to member agency staff and the greater Lincoln community in FY 22-23.

Trainings
Cause Collective organized 26 trainings in FY 22-23, including general trainings, Volunteer Coordinator Council trainings, and Case Management trainings. These trainings pulled in over 835 (26% increase) registrants!

Executive Director Roundtables
Cause Collective hosted 16 monthly ED Roundtables in FY 22-23, bringing together over 95 (45% increase) Directors (duplicated).

Board 101 Trainings
Cause Collective led 17 (20% increase) free Board 101 Trainings for member agencies and corporate sponsors in FY 22-23.

Skill Share program
Cause Collective made 10 connections for member agency staff through our Skill Share program in FY 22-23.

Elected official guests
Cause Collective hosted a total of 12 elected official guests at member meetings in FY22-23.

Legislative stances
Cause Collective took a stance on 1 state bill in FY22-23.

Nonprofit Lobby Day
Cause Collective organized and hosted its third annual Nebraska Nonprofit Lobby Day in 2023.
 

 

Membership growth
Cause Collective welcomed a record 20 new members in FY 22-23, bringing total membership up to 155 (10% increase)

Total numbers
Cause Collective held a total of 190 events and activities in FY 22-23, serving 1,625 (10% increase) individuals (duplicated)

NAM Best Practices Partner
Cause Collective received Nonprofit Association of the Midlands' Guidelines and Principles Best Practices Partnership seal

BBB Torch Award for Ethics
In 2023 Cause Collective was honored to be one of the winners of the Better Business Bureau's Torch Award for Ethics!

 

COLLABORATE

The better we all know each other, the better we work together.Cause Collective facilitate partnerships, collaborates with its members and is a central information sharing center for nonprofits in Lincoln.

EDUCATION

By providing nonprofits individual and group trainings throughout the year they become better and more efficient at running their business, and in turn their services to the community improve.

ADVOCACY

One of the most important things a nonprofit can do to help those they serve is advocate for them. We help nonprofits understand how to advocate and lobby to improve public policy, making a more supportive and stronger community.
